Light
Light is the least tangible yet often the most essential element. We need it as much as plants do, yet in our region it can be a scarce commodity.
When light is employed strategically, it can extend our visual connection to the garden—both during warm summer evenings as well as long winter nights, when we need a little help to stay in touch with the natural world around us.
Incorporating low voltage lighting into the garden creates soft accents, a warm welcome, and an ambiance of elegance. Path lights, up-lights and subtle spot lights can create softly lit night-scapes for safe circulation and aesthetically pleasing effects.
When seen from the street, outdoor lighting can improve security as well as curb appeal. When viewed from inside your home, it can dramatically increase the sense of space through night time views out into your garden.
